White Longing & Return Socks – 48h Of Emotions

These white, well-worn socks stayed with me for 2 full days – through airports, tears, hugs, and the streets of my hometown. I had just returned from the US, and this was my first emotional walk back home – full of nostalgia and raw feelings. I spent the first day traveling: long flights, layovers, sitting curled up alone at the airport – just a little girl in a big world, missing her roots.

The next day was intimate: I reunited with family I hadn’t seen in a while, ate my childhood comfort food, and even had a soft, spontaneous meet-up with old friends who truly missed me. The socks soaked it all in. Emotion, travel, warmth, and connection.

They carry the scent of movement, a soft layer of sweat, and the feeling of coming home.
